Steve discovered Placer County while working in the banking industry in 1987 and made Auburn his home. He began his insurance career in 2012 and joined the Vitas Insurance Agency in 2013 as a Commercial Producer. Vitas transitioned to George Petersen Insurance Agency in 2019. Steve focuses on the local wine industry, home elder care, commercial property owners and their tenants. He is active in the community serving on the boards of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club of Placer County and the Auburn Downtown Business Association. In their free time he and his wife enjoy visiting their two grown children, cycling, kayaking and hiking in the Sierras.
